A War-Torn Alternate Reality
In Kanun 1919, you play as a military messenger set in an alternate version of the early 20th century. He recently lost his son in combat, and now he must carry out orders in a distant town. During his visit, he notices that things aren’t what they seem—a deadly disease is killing the townsfolk, or something possibly worse. He feels something is off, and he now needs to figure out what is happening.

Disease, Deprivation, and Death
The adventure 2D platformer takes place in a gloomy dieselpunk landscape within an alternate reality of World War 1. The style of the art and the possible lore of the world are intriguing. There are many heavy details in the background, and you can feel the history of war in each area you walk into.
The controls are pretty basic. A simple sword and gun are all you have to defend yourself against plagued rats and diseased people ready to attack you. You travel the area in a large tank, and there you can speak with the locals of the town who aren’t so eager to be your friend.
As you are exploring the world, you’ll come across key items that will reveal the town’s history and the struggles its people have faced during the war. You will receive quests from various townspeople that will help you understand that the situation is not as it seems, and soon you will discover that you are not welcome.
