New Co-Op Top-Down DDoD Takes Players Into DNA-Warping Fog

DDoD is a top-down tactical roguelite shooter set in a wasteland, put together by Ukrainian studio The Future Entertainment Company. This is their debut project. The developers describe the map as "massive" and open-world. You can play solo or with three other people online. They have described their influences as a hybrid between the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise and the movie Annihilation.

You journey through the Purple Lands, where a sentient mind-like substance people have dubbed the Fog twists the DNA of living organisms into monstrous creatures. You travel across forests, swamps, and abandoned cities to locate the source. Explore military outposts, underground tunnels, or secret labs. When normal weapons fail, you can use a method that involves exposure to the Fog. However, the irreversible mutation you'll experience and the unpredictable side effects will make things complicated.

There is no set release date, but you can join the playtest on their Steam page.
