Developers hi rohun, Mr. Pootsley, and Jaybooty, have released a demo for Side Effects, a turn-based strategy that transforms drug testing into a deadly game of chance between test subjects.
The game pits two players against each other taking experimental drugs, where participants must choose from various pills each round and have no idea what will happen. Each medication comes with its own side effects that could harm them, help them, or outright kill them. Overall, the goal is simple: be the last one alive.
The current demo features only one player going against an AI capable of bluffing and adapting to medication effects. In the full release, you can have up to four players in multiplayer mode, though no release date has been announced.
