Update: Theme Announced - August 19th
The theme of the game jam was announced on the Twitch channel, TheIndieDen. The theme will be centered around the classic children's game "Duck Duck Goose," where a circle of children sit down and one person walks around it. The person walking around taps everyone on the head one at a time saying "duck" but the second they say "goose" on someone that person has to tag them before they run all the way around and sit in their spot.
Good luck to all teams!
Celebrating Creativity
On August 20th, The Indie Den creator, Yannis Benattia, is teaming up with StayAtHomeDev and the team over at r/indiegames to put together a two-week-long game jam event that promises to be something special. What sets this apart? Required teaser videos, live stream showcases, and a focus on community support over pure competition. Video Games Made Me is an official coverage partner and plans to cover every exciting moment. Here is what you can expect.
Game jams are time-limited events where developers create video games from scratch. They typically last 48–72 hours, with participants given a specific theme to follow. This two-week event is about community building and showcasing each team's process through teaser videos and live streams. Winners will receive exposure from both r/indiegames and StayAtHomeDev, highlighting them on their respective mediums.
